Montemar Beach Club, Inc. was incorporated in October 1978 and started operations in June of the following year. It is a non-stock, non-profit corporation. Montemar has active Clubmembers, and in 1996 opened its doors to non-members as well.

Montemar is located at Bagac, Bataan which lies in the southwestern part of Central Luzon, 150.82 kilometers away from Manila. The resort is situated in a twelve (12) hectare cove nestled between the hills of Bagac, Bataan and the pristine waters of the South China Sea. It also boasts of an immaculate stretch of 500 meter white sand beach and has clean and calm water ideal for swimming and other aqua sports activities.

Montemar is rated “AAA” resort by the Department of Tourism in Bataan. The resort has Mediterranean inspired Inns with 87 well-appointed rooms, two (2) swimming pools, a restaurant, a conference building which can accommodate groups of up to 300 in comfort and style, tennis courts, aqua sports facilities, and “Pitch and Putt” 9-hole Executive Course.

Montemar is accessible through land, sea and air transportation. By land, it is a 2 ½ drive from Metro Manila. By sea, an air-conditioned ferry boat* swiftly and conveniently takes the guests across the Manila Bay to the port of Orion, Bataan in approximately 55 minutes, then a Montemar van picks up the guests for a short 35 minutes ride to the resort. By air, it takes approximately 25 minutes from Manila. A helicopter pad facility is available.
